Bedroom furniture buying guide - bed

A bed is very important piece of furniture, especially when you spend a huge amount of time in it. If your quality of sleep is getting worse or you have experienced a better night’s sleep in a bed other than your own, it is time to buy brand new bed.

It is recommended to change bed at least every 7-10 years. This is because the materials in many beds can deteriorate over time. On the market are many different options right now: bedsteads, divan sets, storage and guest beds. So here is a quick guide that will help you choose the right bed.

Different types of bed

First - bedsteads. Bedsteads are made up of a frame with static or sprung slats to support the mattress. They tend to be more decorative than divan bases and your choice will mainly be based on the aesthetics.

Storage beds are another kind of bed and are a great option if space in your bedroom is limited, or if you’d like a separate area to hold any extra bed linen. There are various types of storage on offer, but all will provide you and your bedroom with a space-saving solution. Storage designs featuring underbed drawers are very popular, as they provide instant access by rolling or sliding out on castors.

Folding beds come in different sizes and are designed for occasional use. They can be stored away easily when not in use, making them a great solution for tight spaces or for rooms not primarily used for sleeping.
